Metroid Prime 4 is an upcoming first-person action-adventure game developed by Retro Studios and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. A part of the Metroid series, it will be the fourth main installment in the Metroid Prime series and a sequel to 2007's Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. The game was announced at E3 2017 and rumored to be under the development of Bandai Namco Studios, however progress on Prime 4 was later scrapped and restarted in January 2019, and is now being handled by Retro Studios alongside producer Kensuke Tanabe.
