Smartphone app allows flyers to book private jets

Sergey Petrossov said he was a frustrated private jet traveler. It isn't a problem most people have, but Petrossov, 26, said he wants more people to ‎be able to travel on private planes, and access them without hassle.

‎So the University of Florida graduate developed a smartphone app called JetSmarter. With as a little as six hours notice a user can pick one of 3,000 planes available on the app and book a flight to just about anywhere in the world from a nearby airport.

"A lot of people come onto our platform today and they don't believe a jet is really going to show up," Petrossov said. "When they see it, they see all the pictures, all the information on it, they see all the amenities, they see detailed insurance and safety information."
